Tuition and Fees

AGVA tuition rates are very competitive when compared to other Christian virtual schools and online course providers. AGVA attempts to keep costs very reasonable while maintaining high standards for course, instructor, and administrative excellence

Tuition and Fees (2024-25)

Part-time AGVA high school students: $45 non-refundable registration fee/year, plus $300 tuition per course/semester. (Registration fee increases to $60 after August 5.)

Part-time AGVA 7-8th grade students: $45 non-refundable registration fee/year, plus $260 tuition per course/semester. (Registration fee increases to $60 after August 5.) (The $260 tuition rate is limited to students enrolling in Algebra 1, Geometry, Spanish 1A, and Spanish 1B. Students may enroll in other courses with permission but the tuition rate is $300, the same as the rate for high school students.)

Full-time AGVA students: $250 non-refundable registration fee/year, plus $4,500 annual tuition. A typical student load is 6 courses during the first semester of 9th grade and 7 courses in subsequent semesters, but students can take up to 8 courses. The registration fee includes course registration, a monthly tuition payment plan, and the cost of student advising services.

All students: Some courses will have an additional expense to purchase textbooks or course materials. (See the AGVA Course Materials webpage. )

Financial Aid: AGVA currently does not offer direct financial aid, but please check with other sources, such as your local congregation. Students in the WELS South Atlantic District or ELS Circuit 1 can apply for financial aid through SLAAGrants.org (Application window is January 1 - April 15.)

WELS Mission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will provide grants covering half the tuition cost of the American Sign Language 2 (ASL 2) course.

AZ Families, AGVA is an approved vendor with ClassWallet. Therefore, it is possible to use Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) funds to pay AGVA tuition and fees.

Tuition Payment Policy

Part-Time AGVA students (if family making payment): Parents/students responsible for paying tuition directly to AGVA will be invoiced through AGVA TADS about two weeks into the semester. Payment of the invoice is due within 15 days. (Late payments will be subject to a $50 late payment fee retained by TADS.) If tuition is not paid within 15 days of the invoice due date, student course access will be suspended by AGVA until payment has been received.

Part-Time AGVA students (if partner school is making payment): AGVA will invoice partner schools that collect tuition from students on behalf of AGVA (or who pay the tuition cost for their students) two to four weeks into the semester. If tuition from a school is not paid within 30 days of the original invoice date, a late fee of 2% or $10, whichever is greater, will be added to the invoice each month.

Full-Time AGVA students: Parents will set up a tuition payment plan through TADS AGVA following course registration. There will be 1-payment, 2-payment, and 10-monthly payment plans available. (Late payments will be subject to a $50 late payment fee retained by TADS.) Payments more than 15 days late will result in student course access being suspended by AGVA until payment has been received.

Tuition Refund Policy

Part-Time AGVA students: A full refund, less registration fee, will be granted if a student withdraws from a course during the first 20 class days and the AGVA superintendent is informed of the withdrawal during that same period. No refund will be granted after the 20th class day of the course.

Full-Time AGVA students: A full refund, less registration fee, will be granted if a student withdraws within the first 5 class days. After the first 5 class days, the amount of tuition due at the time of withdrawal will be calculated through the end of the month. Any refund of paid tuition will be calculated on the same basis.
