Calendars
AGVA observes days off for Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.
AGVA sets a "Spring Break" for full-time AGVA students but allows instructors with only part-time AGVA students enrolled to set their spring break dates. Check with your course instructor concerning the dates for your course!
AGVA does not observe days off for regional events at partner schools like snow days, teacher's conferences, quarter breaks, choral fest, class trips, etc. AGVA courses will continue to meet on such days, and students are expected to complete the required work on time.
Feb. 23 (Thurs.): Registration opens for 2023-24 courses
May - June: Tuition payment plan agreements determined for full-time AGVA students
Aug. 5 (Sat.): Semester 1 registration due (Also, Course viability date to determine which courses might be canceled due to low enrollments. Registrations are still accepted up until the start of the semester for the remaining courses, but the registration fee increases by $15.)
Aug. 7-11: Student accounts created - Information will be sent to students, parents, and partner schools when accounts are ready. Instructors will be provided with student rosters.
Aug. 14 (Mon.): Orientation for new students can begin (must be completed before Aug. 29)
Aug. 29 (Tues.): Start of Semester 1 courses
Sept. 4 (Mon.): Labor Day (no classes)
Sept. 26 (Tues.): Last day to drop to avoid course tuition for part-time students
Oct. 24 (Tues.): End of Quarter 1
Nov. 23-24 (Thurs.-Fri.): Thanksgiving Break (no classes)
Dec. 10 (Sun.): Semester 2 Course-viability date (Courses with low enrollments canceled. Registrations in remaining courses accepted up until the start of the semester, if room.)
Dec. 13 (Wed.): Orientation for new students can begin (must be completed before Jan. 8)
Dec. 21 (Thurs.): End of Semester 1 courses
Dec. 22 - Jan. 7: Christmas/semester break
Dec. 26 (Tues.): Grades due from instructors
Dec. 28 (Thurs.): Grade reports distributed to partner schools and parents
