Attending Local High Schools or WELS/ELS High Schools for Extra Curriculars
If your child attends AGVA full-time please check with your local high school or WELS/ELS high school to see if your child can attend extra curriculars through them. Each district has their own regulations so please check with your local school to see if your child can participate in those programs.
2025-26 Class Schedule for 9th-grade AGVA full-time students
A typical AGVA full-time 9th grade student will have 6 courses first semester and 7 courses second semester. Very capable students are allowed to register for 7 courses each semester and students that need more time to do their work can request approval to take only 6 courses each semester.
A world language is not needed for graduation, but many colleges like to see 2+ years of the same language during high school.

AGVA Graduation Requirements
Twenty-four or more credits (0.5 credits per semester course) are required for graduation and must include the following:
Religion 4 credits
English 4 credits
Mathematics 3 credits
Science 3 credits
Social Studies 3.5 credits
Fine Arts 1 credit
Technology/Business 1 credit
Physical Education/Health 1 credit
Electives 3.5 credits
Total: 24 credits
College bound students will typically graduate with 27 or 28 credits.
